Reckoned by its 2021 release on CD (as opposed to its original 1995 appearance on VHS tape), DiscoVery - Live in Rio 1994 is the Pet Shop Boys' fourth live album, part of a two-CD, one-DVD set.
By 2021 standards, its sound quality leaves a bit to be desired. Nevertheless it's a superb audio record of the unique setlist of the 1994 tour, with its sporadic interpolation of dance classics into several PSB songs (anticipating the pop-culture boom in mashups by nearly a decade), acoustic renditions of "Rent" and "Suburbia" with Neil on guitar, and a couple numbers that they're highly unlikely ever to perform again ("Absolutely Fabulous" and "Girls and Boys").
