PSB tracks/videos available for PlayStation® SingStar
The SingStar game for Sony's PlayStation® 3 and 4 provides, in the words of the promotional literature, "A true interactive singing experience, where everyone is a star as they sing along with their favorite artists to the authentic videos of chart-topping tracks." In essence, it's a pretty sophisticated home-karaoke system. In addition to a number of ready-made song bundles, its special SingStore feature permits players to purchase and download songs and videos by literally hundreds of artists so that they create their own SingStar playlists for their sing-along pleasure.
Several Pet Shop Boys tracks and videos are currently available (as of September 2010) via SingStore for use with SingStar, although the selection varies from one locale to another. Since I don't use PlayStation myself (I'm not a fan of videogames, despite the fact that I used to design children's educational computer games for a living) and the list changes from time to time, I must rely on my site visitors to help me keep this list up to date. If you're aware of any additions or deletions, please let me know.

**In this case "EU" refers collectively to Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom ***"What Have I Done to Deserve This?" is included in the SingStar Ultimate Party game released in Europe (including the U.K.) in late 2014. But I haven't yet found any evidence of its availability in any region's SingStore. Hence the question marks with the Yes and No's for it above. |
