Neil appears as a guest on this new Tom Stephan remix of the 1984 hit, released as part of a multi-disc reissue set commemorating the 40th anniversary of the classic Bronski Beat album Age of Consent. After Stephan had created an earlier version of his remix, singer/lyricist Jimmy Somerville asked him to include more of the original lyrics. Having been moved to tears from hearing Neil read some of his own lyrics in a recent documentary, Stephan then asked Neil to read some of Somerville’s lyrics from the original song, offering, as Stephan put it, "a powerful contrast." Neil literally phoned in his spoken part (seven lines)—something that modern technology now makes feasible—part of which is "doubled" with Somerville’s vocal.
