On April 12, 2024, Neil guested onstage with Johnny Marr at London's Hammersmith Apollo to perform two songs: Electronic's " Getting Away with It " and a cover of the 1974 David Bowie classic "Rebel Rebel." A recording of Marr's live show, Look Out Live! in London, remained unreleased for almost exactly one year, finally appearing on April 15, 2025 (Record Store Day). Both of the songs performed with Neil are included.
"Rebel Rebel" is one of Bowie's most covered songs, having gained a reputation through the years as document of both late glam rock and early punk rock. It proved a major hit (#5) for Bowie in the U.K. but only a minor hit (#64) in the States, where it nevertheless garnered a good deal of airplay and has remained a staple of classic rock radio. Bowie reportedly composed it as an overt homage to the Rolling Stones.
